Do you believe that nature knows no borders? Do you have a passion for sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, water management, or desert ecology? The Arava Institute’s Israel internship program is home to five transboundary research and development centers, each addressing areas of environmental concern. In collaboration with young Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and other international researchers, participants will explore topics like water management, energy conservation, sustainable agriculture, water management, ecology, and environmental diplomacy. Join the Arava Institute’s researchers for one or two semesters working under the mentorship of a faculty member. The internship fosters rich learning experiences in environmental research and development, environmental policy, and project management. Interns will leave the program with solid professional contacts and will be well-positioned to build community-based partnerships. Interns are part of the general campus community, and participate in a rich program which includes community building activities and social events, as well as regional trips, desert hikes, gardening, camping, horseback riding, and more. Kibbutz Ketura is located near Eilat and approximately 4 hours from the center of country, which is easily accessible by public transportation.

Do you have a passion for sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, water management, or desert ecology?   The Arava Fall/Spring semester offers a unique inter-disciplinary study abroad program designed to educate future environmental leaders to solve the common challenges facing the world through cooperation and cross-cultural communication. Live and study with Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and other international students on Kibbutz Ketura in the Southern Arava Valley, as you work together on transboundary environmental issues.   Students participate in a rich program which includes community building activities and social events, as well as regional trips, desert hikes, gardening, camping, horseback riding, and more. Kibbutz Ketura is located near Eilat and approximately 4 hours from the center of country, which is easily accessible by public transportation.

Each program combines a rigorous core curriculum with a diverse offering of electives, allowing you to tailor your studies in Israel to your own interests while gaining advanced knowledge in your chosen field. Learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom, with regular site visits, guest lectures, and excursions designed to give you access to the cutting edge of research and industry.

Tel Aviv-Yafo is home to an ethnically diverse community, housing subgroups including secular and religious Jews, Arabs, foreign workers, and asylum seekers.ֲ  The city hosts many of the country most popular concerts, festivals, sports competitions, and holiday celebrations. Youl have no trouble finding fun things to do in this city, making lifelong friends from Israel and abroad along the way!

The University of Haifa offers international English-language graduate programs in Israel in a variety of disciplines. The one and two-year programs are designed to equip students with the tools they need to succeed in their respective fields and aim to provide practical experiences that will lend themselves to success in a highly competitive global market. Participants will have the opportunity to study with students from Israel and from around the world and benefit from a supportive network of administration and faculty staff.

Two of Israels leading universities, the University of Haifa and the Technion, are located in Haifa, giving the city a vibrant student life and lively nightlife. While living in the cultural hub of northern Israel, you will gain incredible career experience in a top organization in your field, including world class universities such as The Technion (A.K.A Israel MIT), international technology park, Matam, which is home to the R&D divisions of Apple, Google, Qualcomm, IBM & Intel and more. Stroll home from your internship on one of Haifas four amazing beaches or catch a lift on the Carmelit Subway, Israel™s only underground subway system. The people of Haifa are from diverse religions, cultures, and ethnicities. Jews and Arabs live side by side, and sites of religious worship of the main religions can be found there. Jewish life in Haifa is rich and diverse, with the active Boston-Haifa Connection spearheading creative Jewish cultural events and programs that are open and welcoming.

Kinneret College was founded in 1965.

Today, students study for B.A, M.A & B.Sc. degrees in the Schools of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Achi Racov School of Engineering.
