ONLINE ACCESSIBILITY – MASA WEBSITE

The staff of the Masa Israel Journey considers it vitally important to make its internet website accessible for people with disabilities, to make it easier and more convenient for them to use.

The website was built in accordance with the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773- 2013 and the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, level AA standard.

An accessible website is one that allows people with disabilities and older adults to have the same experience at the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as any other user.

About 20-25 percent of the population encounters difficulties in using the internet and could benefit from more accessible internet content, according to research conducted in 2003 by Microsoft.

Masa is committed to providing equal opportunity in the internet domain for people with a range of disabilities and/or those who rely on assistive technologies for computer use.

BELOW ARE SOME ADJUSTMENTS MADE TO MAKE THE COMPANY’S WEBSITE MORE ACCESSIBLE:

  • Easier and more convenient navigating and locating tools
  • Website content is written in simple, clear language and is organized according to headings and lists
  • Uniform structure for all sub-sites and web pages
  • Website is adapted to the work environment with different resolutions
  • Graphic objects have text options (alt)
  • Option to change font size using the side menu
  • Links are clear and include explanations about the link destination
  • Option to change text size using one of the accessibility rulers
  • Option to adjust color contrast by clicking on the site’s contrast key
  • Option to adapt the site to audio programs for the vision impaired
  • Option to add frames for keyboard-controlled elements
  • Option to add shortcuts in the site’s main areas by clicking on Tab
  • Option for delayed animation

ACCESSIBILITY LIMITATIONS

Note that despite our efforts to make all of the site’s pages accessible, there may be parts that still need adjustment.

We are continuing to work to improve the site’s accessibility as part of our commitment to enable everyone to access and use it.

Masa is striving to apply the guidelines and regulations for making internet content accessible.

We are doing our utmost in order to overcome the obstacles remaining to make the site fully accessible.

The site was designed and built to comply with the AA accessibility rating and all accessibility adjustments in the rest of the site’s pages also appear on this page. However, there are still pages where a particular element may not comply with the standard.

This is because the element is from an external site or from a document that was created in a non-accessible manner.

There are still partially-accessible pages on the site since they include external text files/ external references to sites/external audio clips/external video clips without subtitles.
