Our Programs

Earn credits and gain hands-on research experience working alongside a BGU faculty member during a 4 month internship (that can be extended to 12 months). The program aims to provide a flexible tailor-made framework. Students from diverse academic backgrounds, both undergraduate and graduate, can conduct their internship within BGU and outside of the university, through practical work assignments and experience. We will help you find a project that matches your academic background and goals. The program will be supervised by the Academic Coordinator of BGU International and professional supervisors. Internships can be conducted in all 6 BGU faculties, in all fields of research.

Beer Sheva is known as the capital of the Negev Desert. Located at the northern tip of the Negev Desert, Beer Sheva is also one of Israels fastest growing cities. ֲ  Home to Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva has a large student population and a vibrant culture for young adults. The student community is very social and offers many opportunities for Masa Fellows to take part in student initiatives and activities. As a result, the area around the university has a college town feel, filled with entertaining nightlife. ֲ  Beer Sheva also has a large immigrant population and many Bedouin communities in the nearby areas. Fellows are encouraged to volunteer with these communities to better understand local issues of coexistence.

This sophisticated, global city offers an abundance of history and culture, and is rapidly becoming a major player in the contemporary art scene. With world-class museums, theaters, galleries, and orchestras, Tel Aviv is a strong choice for culture lovers. Tel Aviv-Yafo is home to an ethnically diverse community, housing subgroups including secular and religious Jews, Arabs, foreign workers, and asylum seekers.ֲ  The city hosts many of the country most popular concerts, festivals, sports competitions, and holiday celebrations. Youl have no trouble finding fun things to do in this city, making lifelong friends from Israel and abroad along the way!

Hebrew University's non-degree graduate program offers a flexible academic framework for students who wish to participate in seminars and language courses from a variety of areas. While this program does not offer a degree, a full transcript will be provided in order to facilitate the transfer of credit to the student's home university.  The areas covered by the program are precisely those for which the Hebrew University has acquired a reputation for excellence, and where Israel and Jerusalem provide a natural environment for advanced academic work: Biblical and Jewish Studies, Religion, Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, Jewish Education, Israeli Society and Politics, and Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Language instruction is offered in Modern Hebrew, Biblical Hebrew, Akkadian, Biblical Aramaic, Literary Arabic, Colloquial Arabic and Greek. Students who decide to pursue a graduate degree at the Hebrew University at either the Rothberg International School or one of the Hebrew University faculties/schools may use their time in the Graduate Year Program to improve their Hebrew and fulfill certain degree requirements.  For more information about studying in Israel at Hebrew University, please contact: contactus@mail.huji.ac.il .
