Masa Volunteers is partnering with Magen David Adom to open a volunteer opportunity for those who wish to gain valuable hands-on experience in emergency situations and collaborate with Israeli counterparts. After completing an eight-day first responders’ course, participants will volunteer approximately four times a week for 8-hour shifts on an ambulance.

This comprehensive program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide critical care when every second counts. By participating in this program, you will make a tangible impact on the lives of others while immersing yourself in the beauty and culture of Israel. What You'll Do When You Volunteer with Magen David Adom

Weeks 1-2:

EMT Training

Begin your volunteer with Magen David Adom experience with a comprehensive 60-hour EMT training course. You'll learn: ▶ Advanced CPR and basic life support ▶ Medical emergency diagnosis and treatment ▶ Trauma care and wound management ▶ Patient assessment and vital signs ▶ Emergency vehicle operations ▶ Communication protocols with medical facilities

Weeks 3-6:

Active Emergency Response

After completing your EMT certification, you'll volunteer with Magen David Adom on active ambulance shifts, responding to real emergencies alongside experienced Israeli paramedics and EMTs. Volunteers complete three shifts per week, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in emergency medical services.

Ages: 18-40

Locations: Tel Aviv, Haifa, Netanya, Be’er Sheva, Jerusalem

Duration: 6 weeks
