We are a biotechnology company developing a sustainable solution to combat the most harmful invasive species of mosquitoes, Aedes aegypti and albopictus, which cause diseases such as Zika, dengue, chikungunya, yellow fever, among others.
We are a multidisciplinary team of salespeople, biologists, mechanical engineers, electronic engineers, and mainly, entrepreneurs.
Our technology is based on the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) which is based on the following facts:
- female mosquitoes only reproduce 1 time in their lives;
- male mosquitoes do not bite;
- Aedes mosquitoes (aegypti and albopictus) occupy a small territory of 10-30 meters in all directions.
Taking these facts into account: we divide the larvae by sex, sterilize the males and release them. They will naturally seek out females, they will lay non-viable eggs and a 95% population reduction will be achieved.
