A BIM Manager’s responsibilities vary greatly per project.
New hire will work directly with senior BIM Manager on high profile projects mostly tech sector, laboratory / hospital, or industrial factory based.
Charged with Creating and Directing BIM scope of work per project and client needs.
Coordinating and Managing implementation of BIM tools to achieve project’s BIM demands.
These often include globally coordinated Revit models on the BIM360 Construction Cloud.
BIM managers create workflows to ensure all design information is present in various design software, readily available to clients, project management, designers, contractors. AMEC has patented BIM tools for performing QA/QC on all design team models.
AMEC contracts usually include MEP coordination within building envelop via clash detection. Proposed solutions reflect actual on-site clearances needed for successful Construction/Execution. Quantities estimates and Operations & Management including HVAC flow dynamics or LEED building standards may be included.
In order to work effectively with other members on a design project, applicant will need ONE of the following:
1) B.S. in Civil Engineering of any emphasis
2) B.S. in any MEP Design
3) B.S. in Architectural design
4) 3 years on-site Construction Execution experience
– includes: project management / estimating / scheduling / contracts
Technical must have experience with at least ONE:
Revit / Navisworks
