Do you believe that nature knows no borders? Do you have a passion for sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, water management, or desert ecology? The Arava Fall/Spring semester offers a unique inter-disciplinary study abroad program designed to educate future environmental leaders to solve the common challenges facing the world through cooperation and cross-cultural communication. Live and study with Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and other international students on Kibbutz Ketura in the Southern Arava Valley, as you work together on transboundary environmental issues. Students participate in a rich program which includes community building activities and social events, as well as regional trips, desert hikes, gardening, camping, horseback riding, and more. Kibbutz Ketura is located near Eilat and approximately 4 hours from the center of country, which is easily accessible by public transportation.
