Thousands of Masa Israel Journey fellows, alumni and professionals from around the world will gather at Ra’anana Park Amphitheater in Israel on Oct. 28 from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. to celebrate the launch of the 2019-20 programming year.
The opening event will feature an evening of music, speeches and camaraderie with a special performance from Israeli pop star and 2018 Eurovision winner Netta Barzilai, as well as a keynote address from Masa’s acting CEO Ofer Gutman.
Attendees will participate in community-building workshops that include interactive games, an art wall and a volunteer activity: Sixty-seven bicycles will be assembled and donated to Potchim Atid, a Jewish Agency initiative that supports children and their families living in Israel’s social and demographic periphery.
The event will also mark the full-fledged launch of the MasaTech program, providing full-time employment in Israel for Jewish high-tech professionals from around the world.
Masa Israel Journey is the largest immersive, long-term educational experience for young adults ages 18-30. Since its 2004 founding by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Jewish Agency for Israel, Masa has served more than 150,000 young people from more than 62 countries.
