Step 1
Decide which 3 stations you all agree to do for the English Days. Remember that you are going to do the same stations in all the schools you will work with.
Step 2
Write down all the details of the stations you are going to make. Make a list of all the things you have to do and all the materials you will need for the stations. Make sure the stations you choose offer varied activities (moving, dancing, watching a video, writing, drawing, etc). Write the instructions to remind yourselves how to conduct the activities for each station and add examples where possible. We’ve provided you with forms to help you organize your thoughts.
Step 3
Decide which song you are presenting for the opening show and how to present yourselves at the opening session.
Decide which song you will use for the closing dance at the end of the English Day. Develop a creative way to share information about yourselves with the students (True/False or another idea).
Step 4
Think of ways to advertise your English Days in advance, such as posters in the schools. You want to be able to raise expectations before the event occurs. You will probably need to get permission to post anything on the walls, or to hand out flyers, so give yourselves time in advance to clear these details. Your teachers will be able to help you find places to put up your advertisements.
Step 5
Divide the work among you. Prepare the materials for the stations: word cards, pictures, games, worksheets, video clips to use, etc.
Step 6
Show your teachers what you are planning to do and get feedback. Don’t forget to work with your teachers to determine WHERE you will conduct the English Days, including the opening and closing sessions for the full group and the individual stations (gym, outside, large entryway, etc.).
Step 7
Send worksheets and any other materials that need printing to your coordinator IN ADVANCE!!!
How to open a station:
Greet the kids

How to close a station:
Refer the students to the English Day “passport” – each one has to write 3-5 words they learned or used during the station. After they write, they get it stamped/you put a sticker.
