We have compiled resources from organizations to help you prepare your fellows for these National Days and provide helpful framing and context. Our goal is to connect the fellows to Israeli society through the frame of the National Days, and through the Israelis they know best: their organizers, madrichim, and coordinators. We know every group of Fellows is different, so we’ve included a range of resources and approaches to help you meet your group’s unique needs. Hartman Institute: Words and Rituals of Sorrow and Comfort

The site offers various texts from diverse Jewish concepts (religious, traditional, reform, secular). Using the texts, organizers can connect what we are going through now to our shared history and find comfort through it. For now, only in Hebrew.

Yosef Abramson: Performance and Storytelling

Injured in Operation Protective Edge in 2014, Yosef thought he wouldn’t play guitar again. After years of rehabilitation, he can play guitar again, and now shares his story through music. Through his musical workshops, fellows learn about Jewish Identity, overcoming obstacles and being brave, and the realities of PTSD.
