Description
Interns at the TAM-C are responsible for researching, processing, and writing short intelligence briefs that are used for the Actionable Intelligence Reports produced by the TAM-C. Working in league with TAM-C senior analysts, interns are introduced to the tools and techniques the TAM-C uses while gathering intelligence, and put those skills to practice within the first few weeks.
In addition to supporting the intelligence gathering work of the TAM-C, interns are also encouraged to pursue independent case studies and research projects in counter-terrorism that are used to support the mission of ITRR in researching and responding to the threat of global terror.
Qualifications
Required work hours for the intern: at least 25-30 hours a week.
There is no required training, but there is a preference for interns with security studies, criminal justice, or a Middle Eastern studies background.
English at a very high level (written, spoken)is required as well as at least a BA
Interns must maintain strict confidentiality about the projects on which they are working. Given the confidential nature of some of the projects, interns are expected to sign a non-disclosure form and adhere to a number of OPSEC guidelines. In addition, the interns cannot have a criminal background, or any connection to any radical groups in the US (including any groups which engage in eco terrorism or radical animal rights actions). Intern may be required to provide proof of a clear criminal record from their police station in their home country.
