Semester Track from 4 months to a year

Fellows will spend a semester or year living and learning in an Israeli high school, get to know Israel on a deeper level through their Israeli peers, and will immerse themselves in Israeli society and culture while exploring the country on weekly trips. Since this track runs throughout the year, Masa Teen Fellows will have the opportunity to join Gap Year and larger Masa events.

As a MasaTeen Fellow you will receive

  • Leadership Training and Professional Development
  • Financial Support
  • A safety and security team dedicated to you year round
  • A Semester or Whole Year Track with Masa Teen Journey offers a transformative educational experience. Long term programming with Masa offers a deep understanding of Israel and an opportunity that a classroom setting simply cannot provide. Fellows will encounter a dynamic learning environment where formal instruction, experiential learning and travel combine to bring Jewish living and learning to life. By coming to Israel for a longer period of time, Fellows will leave with a unique perspective of life in Israel and will grow tremendously as individuals.

Fellows will gain academic credit, learn about Israel and its history, politics, society and culture through their classes and field trips throughout the year. They will encounter a dynamic learning environment and immerse themselves into Israeli society. This track also has the added benefit of running when other other Masa programs are too. Therefore, some of the programming will be combined with Masa Gap programs and they will also take part in Masa’s mega events throughout the year.

Go Abroad as a Teen and Change Your Life!

We at Masa understand that moving to another country for a period of time might seem daunting. However, we know that Masa Fellows are capable to thrive, make Israel their home and become the best version of themselves as they decide to take the road less taken.

Hear from our Teen Journey fellows:

“Spending time in Israel brough me closer to my Jewish identity, – I had grown up learning and reading about the historical sights of Israel – but I have never come face to face and touched them with my own hands. Being in Israel has solidified my connection to Israel and to Judaism –I feel a lot closer to my identity as a young Jewish Adult “
