OneDay Social Volunteering is an international, non-political, non-profit organization that provides flexible, accessible, and noncommittal social volunteering opportunities for young people between 18 and 35.
OneDay allows volunteers to participate in events that best fit their schedule, interests, and preferences so they can expand their social and professional networks. Volunteers do not have to commit to a certain number of hours or activities and all supplies and transportation costs are covered.
By bringing diverse peoples together for a common cause, OneDay is building a community of volunteers, while helping those in need.
OneDay is Israel’s fastest growing grassroots volunteering community.
Qualifications
Why we are different from the rest of the organizations :
* All of our positions are mixing office work with outside work. Joining our social volunteering and social-only events is a great opportunity for you to meet some new friends, expand your network and feel Israel.. and not stay in the office all the time, and we highly recommend it.
1. Non profit – A chance to contribute to the community and do something meaningful any still – very professional.
2. What we do and the atmosphere – One of our main targets is to create a community of young adults. We are arranging weekly social-volunteering and social-only events. You will always be surrounded with other young adults, internationals and Israelis.
3. Our staff – Above all, we are friends. A diverse group of young adults Olim (new immigrants) and Tsabarim (Israeli born).
4. Our mentors – We have a group of TOP Class mentors who are part of our advisory board and the board of directors.
5. The challenge of creating something new – Be a part of a successful movement when it’s still in it’s processing stage – you will have the ability to CREATE something and have a true effect on it, and not be given a “final product” to work with.
6. The location – Central Tel Aviv and the university.
