The Green Line
The Green Line will be the third and longest line of the Tel Aviv Light rail stretching from Holon and Rishon Lezion in the south to Tel Aviv and Herzliya in the North, including an underground section with four underground stations.
Construction of preparatory works (bridges, tunnels, utility relocations) began in 2019. In 2022, Electra, together with the French company Alstom, won the concession for design, construction and maintenance of the Green Line systems including tracks works, electrification, at-grade stops, underground stations, special stations, depots, trackside technical rooms and all train systems.
The Internship
The potential intern would work on the Green Line project in Electra’s design office currently located in Herzliya.
The project is currently in the design phase. The potential intern would assist with design tasks such as: review of design documents, participation in design meetings, preparing permitting documents, review of project requirements, preparation of interface control documents, assisting with submissions, etc.
The work is multi-disciplinary and covers all aspects of a major infrastructure project. Potential interns in the fields of mechanical/electrical/civil/structural engineering architecture, environment, or other technical fields would be relevant.
Qualifications
The following are preferable, but not required:
- Completed degree, or at least 3rd or 4th year students
– Hebrew (or other additional languages such as French, Russian)
- Good excel knowledge. Other Microsoft Suite (Word, Powerpoint)
- Experience with design programs such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Work experience in construction/engineering
