The Exploration, Leadership, and Innovation (ELI) Gap-Year Program at Tel Aviv University offers recent high school graduates the opportunity to experience university life while exploring their academic interests and developing leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Based at TAU in the heart of Tel Aviv, students take for-credit university courses alongside TAU students while participating in workshops, field trips, volunteering, and hands-on learning experiences throughout Israel.
ELI combines academics with personal growth and meaningful engagement with Israeli society, Jewish life, identity, and community. Students live together on campus and have opportunities to meet professionals, organizations, and experts across Israel’s technology, business, cultural, and social sectors. With a minimum of four for-credit courses, students can explore a range of subjects and additional academic opportunities, including areas such as entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Credits earned through TAU can be applied toward continued studies at Tel Aviv University and may be transferable to other universities, depending on each institution’s policies.
