This is a wide-ranging position in the area of investment rounds in startups. You will be working with every aspect of processing these investment rounds.
Responsibilities:

The intern will work as an analyst in the corporate finance group. The analyst will be exposed to a wide variety of companies and across multiple sectors.
Specific job functions will include:
• Gathering data for valuation purposes.
• Conducting market research for valuations.
• Assisting in the writing of business plans.
• Assisting in business development opportunities.
Must be at least an incoming Junior in College working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Economics.
– Microsoft Office Skills. Interns must have advanced excel skills.
– Native English Speaker. While the intern will not need to write in Hebrew, it is advantageous if the intern does have some speaking and reading skills in Hebrew.
The Finance intern will work on 3 separate tasks:
1) Reporting to investors:
OKO needs to report monthly and quarterly to investors. The intern will help aggregate the required data, complete a reporting template, and analyze it to suggest key messages to convey to the investors
2) Internal KPI analytics
The intern will use the existing KPI tracking tools to analyze and performance of our sales operations, create charts to visualize key information and suggest areas to focus on.
There is also an opportunity to improve the KPI tracking tools and automate more processes.
3) Liaison with bookkeepers
OKO externalizes bookkeeping activities to specialized firms but needs to ensure that they receive all the data required to perform their tasks. The intern will help the country managers in Luxembourg Mali and Uganda to check that all expenses are categorized and justified by a valid receipt.
• Studying for a financial or accounting degree. Management degree also acceptable if it included basic accounting classes
• Advanced training in Excel (or a strong interest to learn)
• Ability to understand a P&L and a balance sheet
• Ability to use other accounting tools (Sage, Quickbooks, …) or analytics tools (SPSS, Metabase, Tableau,…) is a plus
Assist with financial modeling..
Assist with statistical analysis and other special projects.
Present data-driven recommendations to the finance team.
