The Masa Leadership Center, centro de entrenamiento israelí único en su tipo, desarrolla la capacidad de adultos en instancias temprana y media de la carrera durante su extenso tiempo en Israel para sembrar el cambio en los difíciles desafíos que enfrenta Israel y las comunidades judías alrededor del mundo. Shani Becker – Content Development Manager
Shani is a Content Development Manager with extensive experience in education, facilitation, and experiential learning. With a background in theater and education, she brings creativity and depth to every project she leads.
She specializes in program design, educational content development, and creating engaging learning environments that encourage growth and connection.

Jamie Zussman – Leadership Programming Coordinator
Jamie is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching, curriculum design, and leadership development. Originally from Illinois, she holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Special Education from the University of Iowa. Before joining Masa, Jamie spent over a decade involved in Jewish summer camps, where she developed a passion for creating meaningful educational experiences that inspire growth and connection.
She first joined Masa as a participant in the 2023–2024 Teachers Track cohort of Masa Israel Teaching Fellows and now serves as Coordinator of Leadership Programming, where she leads the Masa Wilf Leadership Summit — a program she once attended herself. Jamie is passionate about fostering Jewish identity and personal development through experiential learning. She currently lives in Be’er Sheva with her partner, Michael, and enjoys swimming in her free time.

Danielle is a Project Manager and Content Developer with over ten years of experience leading educational and social initiatives in global and multicultural settings.

Hagar Ben-Bassat – Israel Education Initiative Coordinator
Hagar is a dedicated educator and community professional with over a decade of experience leading programs and initiatives in Israel and abroad. She specializes in program management, community engagement, and cross-cultural education, with a strong commitment to building meaningful connections between individuals and communities.
Her background includes working as an Israel Fellow in the United States, supporting students in developing their connection to Israel and Jewish life, and later serving as Head of the European and South African Department at Habonim Dror, where she developed long-term educational programs and international partnerships.
Driven by a passion for impactful education and cultural exchange, Hagar is committed to creating experiences that inspire belonging, learning, and growth.

Netta Fishler, Chief of the Masa Leadership and Impact Center
Netta served as a Jewish Agency emissary in Florida, USA, and Barcelona, Spain. She has extensive experience facilitating groups within leading Jewish educational and communal frameworks, including BINA: The Jewish Movement for Social Change, and GESHER: Building a Cohesive Israeli Society.
Netta has developed and implemented educational programs on leadership, Jewish identity, and social-business entrepreneurship for young adults at the Tavor Leadership Academy and within the Jewish Agency’s emissary training program.
She holds an M.A. in Organizational Behavior and a B.A. in Sociology, Anthropology, and Jewish Thought. Netta lives near the sea with her husband, Noam, and their daughter, Shir, and enjoys sports, travel, and the arts.
Chief of Education and Masa Leadership and Impact Center
Michal is the founder of The Balcony Leadership Studio that supports leadership development process in social and civic organizations and communities. Michal is a member of the Masa Leadership Center’s Global Faculty and a Kansas Leadership Center alum. She was the director of international programs of community and leadership development and social activism in Europe and Israel as part of her work at the Global Leadership Institute of the Jewish Agency. Beforehand, she was the Maccabi World Union Central Emissary in Europe. Michal holds a master’s in Jewish Education and a B.A. in Sociology-Anthropology, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is a co-founder of a cooperative pub in Jerusalem.
Yotam Evyatar is a Ph.D. student in philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is an experienced group facilitator and leadership development practitioner and has held positions ranging from operations manager and public policy researcher to editor and philosophy teacher for high school students. His work and research are driven by a deep interest in the connections between complex ideas, human relationships, and the intricate societies we create. Yotam holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Psychology and an M.A. in Philosophy. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, playing the mandolin, and volunteering as a board member in his home kibbutz.
Group facilitator
Alice Lévy is a French immigrant to Israel. She graduated from Sciences Po Lyon with a major in Development and Management of Not-For-Profit Organisation. She has been involved in the not-for-profit sector her whole life as a volunteer or staff. She collectively managed a French NGO that aims to empower citizen to tackle environmental and societal issues. She worked for several years for not-for-profits that deals with social exclusion and violence against women. She has been in Israel since January 2015 and is a Masa and Leadership Alumni. She currently works in high-tech where she trains organizations around the world to tackle new challenges.
Maya Bernstein consults to nonprofits on innovation strategies, and teaches facilitation and leadership tools and techniques. She is a founding co-director of Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership’s Certificate in Facilitation; a co-founder and Associate at UpStart Lab; and is on faculty at Yeshivat Maharat and the Wexner Foundation. Her writing about leadership and innovation has been published widely, online and in print. She holds an M.Ed from Harvard and a BA from Columbia, and is a recipient of the Covenant Foundation’s Pomegranate Prize. She has lived and worked in Israel, Belarus, China, and Germany. Maya and her husband Noam live in New York and have five children. She steals slivers of time to juggle, swim, dabble in improv theater, and write poetry.
United States
As the Director of Kansas City Initiatives for the Kansas Leadership Center, D.J. is creating relationships and partnerships around the KLC competencies and behaviors in northeast Kansas. His work is focused on creating opportunities for people to use their gifts and passions to make progress on the things they care about that impact our communities. D.J. graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in political science and broadcast journalism. He spent 10 years in ministry with the ELCA Lutheran Church at Holy Cross in Overland Park. D.J. lives in Lenexa with his wife, Lori, their daughter, Addison, son Parker and their dog, Wrigley (yes…D.J. and Lori are Cubs fans). Aside from a love of all sports Chicago and the Jayhawks, D.J. and Lori love to travel, cook and spend time outdoors.
USA
Having worked as a clinical Social Worker in the UK and Director of Programs in the Masa Leadership Center, Ben is today a leadership development trainer and organisational consultant. He holds an MA from the Tavistock Centre in London and an MA in Social Work and has trained in Systemic Family Therapy. Ben teaches leadership to enable people to be pro-active in creating positive change in their own lives and the lives of their communities and workplaces. He lives in Tel Aviv.
A founding member of the Kansas Leadership Center’s core teaching team, Kevin currently serves as chair for custom programs creating and delivering leadership development for businesses and organizations throughout the US and around the world. Kevin also co-chairs KLC’s Teach Leadership Intensive and teaches in the Lead for Change open enrollment program. Kevin’s background includes training and coaching with businesses, implementing mental health and developmental disabilities reform; strategic planning with nonprofits, governments, coalitions, and hospitals; and providing technical assistance to communities developing healthy living policies and practices. He is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker, Kansas Health Foundation Fellow, International Coaching Federation Certified Coach, and Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certified Interpreter. He completed the Art and Practice of Leadership Development at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Executive Transition Training and Mentorship with Transitions Guides-Raffa, PC. Kevin enjoys the simple pleasures of family balanced with adventure- packed weekends of endurance gravel cycling and vacations filled with mountain climbing and snowboarding.

Sonja was born in Serbia and for 10 years lived in Budapest, working for the J.D.C. in various positions as an informal Jewish educator. She also co-ran the Matara, youth leadership program of the RF(H)E. Sonja is a graduate of the Melton Senior Educators Program and Adaptive Leadership Lab led by the Global Leadership Institute (G.L.I.) Sonja lives in Belgrade, Serbia where she is one of the founders and Executive Director of NGO Haver Srbija and coordinates the educational program of the Federation of Jewish communities of Serbia and organizes local Limmud Festival.
Serbia
Stefan Reich has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, with a specialization in leadership; a Postdoctoral degree from Harvard Medical School, Cambridge Hospital; and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He is a business consultant in management leadership, organizational development and change management. He has worked as a consultant and a teacher in the US, Chile, Peru and other countries of the world, both in the public and private sectors. He is the director of the Adaptive Leadership Center in Peru and a professor of postgraduate studies at Adolfo Ibáñez University. He was part of the executive committee of the NGO Enseña Perú, which aims to improve the quality of education for Peruvian youth and is currently a member of the Assembly of Transparencia. In 2013 he was awarded the prestigious Eisenhower Fellowship, which rewards emerging leaders worldwide. CLA consultant for Consulting.
Peru
Jennifer was born and raised in Maryland, USA. Her curiosity and love of cultures have led her to live, work, and/ or study in the US, Thailand, India, England and Israel. In 2015, Jennifer moved to Israel as a recipient of the Dorot Fellowship for young American Jewish leadership. Following Dorot, Jennifer made Aliyah and launched the Adaptive Leadership Lab Fellowship as part of the Jewish Agency for Israel. In 2019, she completed her masters degree in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics & Political Science where she focused on the intersection of innovation and organizational growth. She is currently based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Leah is a lifelong learner and a firm believer in the power of mindfulness and compassion. Leah earned her law degree in Canada and trained as a foreign clerk at Israel’s Supreme Court before practicing law with one of Israel’s leading law practices. A passion for social change led Leah to pivot to the nonprofit sector and for the past 17 years she has headed the development activities of various Israeli organizations. In 2017 Leah’s professional work earned her the distinction of becoming a Schusterman Fellow. Leah’s rich experience in organizational settings and the practices that comprise organizational culture helped inspire her decade-long, robust practice in mindfulness. Leah draws on research from behavioral neuroscience, training from distinguished coaching institutes in the United States, and her deeply engaged mind and heart to assist leaders and organizations in meaningfully enhancing their wellbeing and performance.
Lev is an expert and trainer in the field of social and educational innovations. Today, he leads entrepreneurship educational programs in Israeli schools and is an advisor for Hakhel, an international incubator for Jewish Intentional communities all over the world. In his professional and personal paths Lev focuses on three main themes: community, leadership, and innovation. Both leadership and innovation lead to the creation of a better future and the most effective way of doing that is through collaboration and community. He strongly believes that success and wellness come when you practice with others what you truly believe in.
Mariana is from São Paulo, Brazil. She spent six years in the Catholic University, São Paulo, where she became bachelor in pedagogy and master in education. At the same time she had different experiences in her field, as a teacher trainer in Mozambique, Africa, and as a principal in a democratic school in an at-risk neighborhood in São Paulo. She specializes in critical thinking education. She spent the last four years in Tel Aviv where she was the Head of Nurseries Program and Community Development in the organization Unitaf, which provides education for refugee children in south Tel Aviv. Mariana is a graduate of Masa and the Masa Leadership Center. Since 2016 she is an associate trainer in the Masa Leadership Center faculty. Currently Mariana is the founder and director of “For Everyone English Classes” a non-profit organization that provides online English classes for underprivileged Brazilian youth as a way to open up more career opportunities.
Hila is a career diplomat in Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, teaches Adaptive Leadership in organizations and leadership programs, and holds an MPA from Harvard. Hila helps people grow and develop and is intrigued by the magic of creation and influence of individuals in constructing and changing their social surroundings.
Berlin
Ronit is the Executive Director of “Israelis against racism,” a nation-wide endeavor to promote zero tolerance to all forms of racism in Israel. Previously, Ronit served as the Executive Director of Shatil: Leading Social Change, an Initiative of the New Israel Fund. Ronit is an Adaptive Leadership teacher who facilitated workshops with the Wexner Foundation, the Masa Leadership Center, and Non-profits in Israel. Ronit is a social psychologist and an organizational consultant by training, and holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. She is a devout Jerusalemite and a writer of a series of children’s stories “Manyera the Witch”.
Brandon Srot dedicates his professional life to developing human potential and connection. His Australia-based consultancy offers a suite of services in psychotherapy, leadership development and facilitation. Brandon brings over 15 years of senior professional and volunteer leadership in the Jewish sector to his work. He is a Senior Schusterman Fellow, a Nachum Goldmann Fellow and the recipient of Bnai Brith’s Jewish Changemaker Award. Brandon holds qualifications in counselling, human change and Gestalt therapy and has trained in embodied leadership, adaptive leadership and facilitation. He is the Chief Facilitation Officer of LaunchPad, a faculty member of The School of Life and a board member of Mandelbaum House.
Tome Nahmias- Calic is an organizational consultant and a group facilitator. She has a very large experience at working with English speaking groups from all over the world after leading many groups in different programs such as: «The Israel Experience», Onward Israel (as part of her work in «Bina»- the Jewish movement for social change) and throughout her army service as a «Sar-El» guide (leading groups of volunteers from all around the world who come to volunteer in the IDF bases). During the last year Tome has been working with Masa, leading groups as part of the MPH program for career development. Tome is also a teacher at Tel- Aviv University’s Group Facilitation program and at the Open University’s Organizational Consultation program.
Ed O’Malley is the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of the Kansas Leadership Center. Formed in 2007, the center now works with over 2000 Kansans each year in extensive leadership development trainings. Education institutions, non-profit organizations, local governments, faith communities and companies across Kansas utilize the Kansas Leadership Center to help build the capacity of their people. Prior to forming KLC, Ed served two terms in the Kansas legislature and was also an aide to Kansas Governor Bill Graves. Ed is the co-author of three books related to the work and mission of the KLC: For the Common Good: Redefining Civic Leadership, Your Leadership Edge: Lead Anytime, Anywhere and What’s Right With Kansas: Everyday Citizens Transforming Their State.
Marty is a professor at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government and a co-founder with Ronald A. Heifetz of Cambridge Leadership Associates. He served as Chief Secretary/Counselor to Massachusetts Governor William Weld from 1992-1995 and has published extensively on leadership, management, politics, and education. A graduate of Williams College and Harvard Law, Linsky has been Assistant Minority Leader of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, writer for The Boston Globe, and Editor of The Real Paper. He co-authored, with Heifetz, Leadership on the Line, and co-authored with Heifetz and Alexander Grashow, The Practice of Adaptive Leadership.
