SELA Mir is the universal and most popular program to prepare young people for admission to Israeli colleges and universities.
The program takes place in two cities – in Nitzan and Karmiel.
The Jewish Agency "Sokhnut" and the international company "Israel Experience" offer young children from 17 to 21 years old the opportunity to prepare for studying at universities and colleges in Israel, as well as for independent living in a new country.
The program is designed for students with a matriculation certificate who aspire to receive a prestigious international education, get to know Israeli society and culture, meet new friends, and gain an unforgettable experience of living in Israel.
Participants of the program live for 3-4 people in a room. In each room, except for beds and desks, there is a common dining table, shelves, and a kitchenette. To services of children – a computer class, library, laundry. The staff of the center are a director, a social worker, a coordinator for cultural events, a caretaker, a housewife, as well as a group of instructors (madrikhim) living in the center itself. You can contact them at any time of the day with any question or problem. In addition, the staff of the center keeps in touch with the families of the pupils and informs them about the progress of the children.
Cost: subject to receiving a grant – free of charge, $ 300 personal participation
