Located only 30 minutes north of Tel Aviv, Netanya serves as a vital social and economic link between the northern and southern parts of Israel. Netanya is home to many start-ups and hi-tech companies. Immigrants make up 35% of the population, mostly coming from France and Ethiopia.
With its seemingly never-ending promenades, Netanyaג€™s nine miles of white sand beaches, wild cliffs, and green parks rank among the most beautiful in the world.
In the classroom
After an initial period of pedagogical training, you will work alongside one or more of your peers 25 hours each week in a public school, leading small group tutoring sessions. Most of the schools are a 30-40 minute commute in the morning. In addition to teaching English, you will work on secondary community volunteer projects for approximately three hours each week.
Where you’ll live
The apartments are located east of Netanya’s city center in the village of Kiryat Ha’Sharon – right across the street from a huge park perfect for running or biking. They are conveniently located to restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and other enterprises. The beach is just a 20-minute bus or bike ride, and the train station is walking distance so you can have easy access to explore other cities all over Israel. Apartment amenities include:
