Job Description

Scope of Position: The Education Programs Coordinator oversees the English and Hebrew classes offered in the
evenings at ARDC and all tutoring activities. He/She acts as the main ARDC contact for teachers and students,
manages curriculum development and the monitoring and evaluation of student progress.
Main Responsibilities:
• Recruit and train English and Hebrew teachers and tutors. Act as a resource for teachers and tutors.
• Evaluate student’s English and Hebrew levels (materials provided)
• Develop and maintain data and monitoring and evaluation systems for semester. Complete a report monthly.
• Act as the liaison between the education programs and the greater organization
• Manage all existing education programs and develop new programs when appropriate
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
• Comfortable working with refugees and asylum seekers from a variety of backgrounds, including those with
limited formal education and/or literacy skills
• Fluent English is mandatory, Hebrew is an advantage
• Ability to adapt to changing situations, comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Responsible, flexible, and dedicated

35 hours per week

Qualifications

background in sociology or social sciences is preferable, fundraising, or if possible website development.
