Job Description
In our research laboratory we are looking for motivated talented individuals passionate about science. During an internship with us, interns will acquire knowledge about how scientific research is conducted by participate in all stages of the research project. From learning the relevant background literature, through framing the specific research question, planning and performing the experiments to analyzing the data and developing the conclusions. Interns will gain basic laboratory skills, and hopefully fall in love with academic research and decide to join us on their academic journey. Each intern will work on a small scientific project with one of our researchers. Our internship program encourages interns to participate in frontal presentations of their projects, their goals, and their outcomes. In our lab, we strive to create a welcoming environment that fosters scientific growth in young scientists from a variety of backgrounds.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, neuroscience)
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong interest and passion for research in the translational sciences
