Job Description

work with Beit Ruth’s Education staff who direct ESL as a formal program. teach English part-time in a classroom and also during everyday activities, for example, during therapeutic and enrichment programs as well as during communal meals and field trips.
one-on-one tutoring, as needed.
design lessons, for example, using movies, magazines, and television to encourage conversational English or to create games to play in English.

Qualifications

experience working with youth
willingness to work flexible hours including working some evenings and weekends as needed
interest in issues about girls and women
ability to work independently with minimum guidance
ability to adapt to different cultural norms and work styles
strong sense of responsibility and integrity
strong and clear written and verbal skills
time management and organizational skills
experience teaching english
flexibility ability to cope with unexpected situations
