Designated a “Green City” by the World Health Organization in 2005, Raanana is one of four cities in Israel to have joined the international organization ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability (the other three being Jerusalem, Kfar Saba, and Shoham). In a city like this, there’s enough green space to go around, offering plenty of walking space, trees, sports fields, and more to keep the outdoor mentality alive.
