The Ministry of Immigration and Absorption is an important anchor for realizing the longing of Jews from around the world to come and be absorbed in the Land of Israel. The office is solely responsible for the immigration and absorption of millions of immigrants from around the world. Since the establishment of the state until today, the ministry is responsible for realizing the concept of aliyah, as mentioned in the sources and pointed out in the Declaration of Independence. The office deals with the absorption of immigrants, which is reflected in financial aid, Hebrew studies, employment, military service, housing, absorption centers, academia, establishing businesses in Israel and in a variety of other fields. The office has over 500 employees, scattered in the office's branches from north to south. The set of spokespeople in the Immigration and Absorption Ministry is one of the anchors among the many wings that exist in the ministry. Its main role is to bridge the gap between the immigrants, their stories and experiences, and the general population in Israel through new media, institutional journalism and other means of communication.
