OKO is an impact-driven start-up using technology to bring insurance to farmers in emerging markets. We use mobile and satellite technologies to provide small farmers in emerging markets with an affordable, paperless, and automated crop insurance solution. OKO operates in Mali with 10,000 customers and a partnership with Orange, and in Uganda where a commercial product will be launched in 2022. OKO graduated from the Techstars Acceleration programme, from Google for Start-ups: SDGs and from Microsoft’s AI for good programmes. 1.2 million were invested in OKO so far by prominent investors. We are looking for people who believe in the technological impact on development, and who are keen to take responsibility of a full project.
