Israel Outdoors NEXT - Israel Corps - Harduf 2017-2018 | Masa Israel

Israel Outdoors NEXT - Israel Corps - Harduf 2017-2018

Program Description

Join our team of volunteers making an impact on Israeli society. Israel Corps is based in the Galilee at Kibbutz Harduf (founded on a unique ideology of co-existence, inspiration, education and community.  This beautiful, ecologically sustainable kibbutz in the Galilee serves as an ideal backdrop for meaningful volunteer work on Israel Corps) and serves nearby communities. Volunteer projects are according to your own interests and include opportunities for teaching, organic agriculture, sustainable living, community theater, childhood development, and special needs inclusion.
More than a volunteer project, Israel Corps is your opportunity to contribute to the important cause of co-existence and understanding with nearby Arab and Jewish villages in the Galilee. Through it all, you’ll become part of the community, gaining unique insights into Israel’s multi-ethnic society.
Beyond the kibbutz, Israel Corps includes a series of travel experiences, seminars and activities designed to expand your understanding of Israel. You’ll visit new parts of the country and meet leaders engaged in shaping Israel’s future.
Israel Corps is specially subsidized in partnership with the Jewish Agency’s Masa Israel and “Project TEN: Global Tikkun Olam” initiative, a service learning initiative supporting communities throughout the world and in Israel.
Accommodations - Live in harmony with nature in Kibbutz Harduf’s ecologically sustainable village, sleeping in cabins with a shared kitchen and group facilities.
Programming and tours - Join up with other peers for programming outside Harduf, including seminars and tours that will take you to new destinations around Israel.
Language training - You’ll receive Hebrew and Arabic language instruction to help you navigate Israeli society.
Cost -$4,500 | Before the subsidy
