Work alongside Kibbutzniks, international volunteers, Palestinian-Arab Bedouin and Jewish Israelis who are striving for just and lasting peace. Gain theoretical and practical experience in sustainability, green building, and sustainable agriculture. Apply lessons from class with hands on projects in authentic multi-cultural situations. Through a holistic approach to world issues that encompasses interpersonal and group processes, you will broaden and deepen your understanding of sustainability and peace.
Accredited by the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the Peace Justice and Environment semester abroad will provide you with a hands-on experience in ecological design, local organic food production, and working with community action groups and more. This program emphasizes critical thinking, open-mindedness, consensus decision-making, community living, and non-violent communication in order to explore individual identity in the day to day life of an internationally recognized Eco Village Kibbutz.
