Inbound undergraduate exchange students

Jerusalem Sounds Program – Fall/Spring/Year

This joint initiative of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD) on the Edmund J. Safra Campus on Givat Ram and Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School (RIS) allows you to benefit from the expertise and support of two highly respected institutions. Our Jerusalem Sounds program provides you with unique musical training and rich inspiration in the heart of Jerusalem. JAMD’s courses, taught by top faculty and professional musicians, will help you develop your technique and performance skills from classical to modern or ethnic music. You will also explore Israel’s rich and vibrant culture through field trips, social activities, and courses on Hebrew language, Israel, and the Middle East.

Spring in Jerusalem Honors Program – spring semester

Spring in Jerusalem Honors Program will challenge and inspire you, incorporating a diverse range of courses from science to Middle East studies. You’ll take advanced-level courses in English with Israeli students and conduct independent research. Explore Israel’s rich and vibrant culture through field trips, social activities, and courses on Hebrew language, Israel, and the Middle East. At the same time, build your career through professional internship opportunities with Israeli private companies, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). This program will help prepare you for your future career or continuing studies.

First Year & Gap Year – Fall/Spring/Year

Our program gives you an exciting and unique way to enter university life as an international first-year student. You’ll make new friends from around the world while experiencing Israel’s rich and vibrant culture through field trips, social activities, and courses, including Hebrew, Israel, and Middle East studies. Jerusalem will be a second classroom for you, full of colorful sights, sounds, smells, and tastes.
Our First-Year Study Abroad program will strengthen your research and writing skills and provide you with strong academic and social support. It will give you a solid initiation into academic study, and the credits you earn will be transferable to most top-tier colleges and universities abroad. After completing your first year at HebrewU, you’ll be prepared for success at a range of top-notch institutions around the world.

Internship and Language Accelerator

This non-degree program is specially designed for individuals who have graduated from university and are looking for an experience that will enrich their lives life professionally and personally. Participants will work with our internship coordinator and find placement at one of our diverse 60+ internship sites. Additionally, participants will take either a Modern Hebrew or Arabic language course to develop their language skills and international experience. The main goal of this program is to build participant’s international work experience and language skills that will enhance their professional lives.

Dance Jerusalem – Fall/Spring/Year

Dance Jerusalem offers university-level artistic and technical training in the disciplines of Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance Choreography (including Ohad Naharin’s GaGa). Our DanceJerusalem program will give you the artistic training and inspiration to create and perform meaningful works. This joint initiative of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD) on the Edmund J. Safra Campus on Givat Ram and Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School (RIS) allows you to benefit from the expertise and support of two highly respected institutions. JAMD’s dance courses will push you to reach beyond your physical limits and give you the confidence to create, rehearse, and perform your own works. You will also explore Israel’s rich and vibrant culture through field trips, social activities, and courses on Hebrew language, Israel, and the Middle East. Art Jerusalem – Fall/Spring/Year

ArtJerusalem, a joint initiative of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Rothberg International School (RIS), combines artistic training, university study and first-hand exposure to Israel’s challenging social, historical and cultural environment. Studies include a wide variety of art courses in such areas as painting, sculpture, drawing and screen-printing. Students also choose from a broad selection of university courses in Israel and Middle Eastern Studies, religion, behavioral sciences and environmental studies, as well as Hebrew language. Diverse extracurricular activities also complement the program.

Undergraduate Study Abroad – Fall/Spring/Year
