They came from North and South America. From England and India, France and Spain. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and China. They spoke English, French, Spanish, Russian, Hindi and Yiddish. And on Thursday, October 26th, they showed their support for Israel's North by celebrating with MASA in Akko (Acre), Israel's ancient port city.

They arrived by train, by bus, by car and on foot. In the early afternoon, with their welcome kits in tow, 2,000 MASA participants marched through the streets of Akko. Along the way, they met the residents, purchased food and souvenirs, and took a tour through the archaeological sites within the old city's walls.

As the sun set, they assembled on the eastern wall where they joined dignitaries from the Jewish Agency and the Government of Israel, including the mayor of Akko, for a gala event featuring live entertainment, fireworks and dancing.
