The PresenTense Institute for Creative Zionism (PICZ) is an intensive six-week summer Fellowship program based in Jerusalem that enables socially-minded entrepreneurs from the fields of hi-tech, business, social action, education and the arts to turn their envisioned projects into reality.
PICZ is offering a range of internships in Jerusalem for its 2008 summer program. All of the internships are great opportunites for college students looking for more professional experience in their field of interest. See below to find the internship that's right for you!! PICZ Interns: (dates June 23-August 3)
Techie - provides technical support for social entrepreneurs in day-to-day needs and also for lectures and presentations. Needs to know HTML, PHP, can work with both PC and Mac, experience in video editing and podcasting and has appropriate software.
Public Relations, communications - ideally one person fluent in English and Hebrew, or perhaps two people (one English, one Hebrew), communicates with media to spread information about the institute. Needs excellent writing skills, preferably someone with an interest in PR, journalism, or communications.
Research intern - to assist social entrepreneurs with their projects by providing research skills. Should have interest in the arts, business, and technology.
Video intern - to document the institute. Looking for someone with experience in filming, editing, etc. with all the necessary equipment and software.
Assessment intern - This person will learn how to be an organizational consultant - to assess the success of the institute, organizational systems, management structures. The intern will be mentored by someone with many years of experience in management and assessment.
Business development (for interns) - to help interns brainstorm business models for their projects and learn ways to monetize their initiatives. Looking for someone with practical experience in business development.
PresenTense Magazine: (dates also officially June 23-August 3 but can be flexible or a bit longer)
PT Magazine Business Development - Assist Business Director to formulate new business strategy for magazine, and develop and organize more contacts for advertising and circulation. Looking for someone with either business background or interest in learning more about business development.
