Cool time in Israel

Cool time in Israel

Février 10, 2012

The Australian Union of Jewish Students has been joined by counterparts from South Africa, the UK, the USA and Switzerland on their five month long Israeli Aviv program.
More than 50 Australian participants are now full-swing on their Israel adventure, with the students from the other countries joining them in the AUJS run program.

Thanks are due to Masa Israel Fourney’s partnership with AUJS, for providing scholarships for all participants, with the Australian component represented by students from across the country.

The AUJS Aviv program allows participants to experience the breadth and depth of life in Israel like no other Australian program for young adults outside of the youth movements. Experiences include life on a kibbutz (which include an Ulpan program), a week of desert experience, Gadna – an Israeli military program, volunteer opportunities in peripheral areas and more.

Daniel Nash, National Chairperson of AUJS says, “AUJS Aviv has enjoyed positive word of mouth from past participants and this, together with the diversity of activities offered, has seen to its success and growth in popularity from year to year. We look forward to seeing this success continue in years to come, with AUJS constantly offering new opportunities for international programs, such as Volunteer Nepal, a relatively new program which AUJS has been running in recent years, in partnership with Jewish Aid Australia.”

AUJS Aviv Madrichot, Tali Seidman and Shani Kleiner, report that the group is  “havng a blast,” having completed a hike along the Dead Sea on Sunday.
