Yeshivat Ma'ale Gilboa

Program Description

At Yeshivat Maale Gilboa, a diverse group of educators have created a unique Torah institution for post-high school students, committed to rigorous study, intellectual openness and social consciousness. Based on the belief that talmidei chachamim have a responsibility to contribute in all branches of society, the teachers at Maale Gilboa have created a broad program that addresses the needs of the contemporary student. Committed to full involvement in modern Israeli life, Maale Gilboa - as a shiluv yeshiva - obligates its Israeli students to serve a full tour of military service, as is expected of all citizens.
By training a new generation of outstanding Torah scholars who see their place in the modern world, Yeshivat Maale Gilboa is spearheading a new and important message: that devotion to Torah enriched with intellectual openness strengthens both our religious world, and society as a whole.

Program Description

ASHREINU is an innovative new Yeshiva designed to challenge and excite young men who want to combine the study of Torah with a full program of communal, social and physical development.
Our mission is to instill in our students a lifelong love and commitment to Torah, Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael. This is accomplished through our unique curriculum combining a half day of dynamic Torah study, with community internships and a full program of educational and challenging tiyulim.
Ashreinu’s energetic staff is dedicated to the development of each and every student in a warm and caring environment.

Torah Study - Ashreinu's Torah Study curriculum is well rounded and designed to immerse students in the areas of Torah that are most relevant to their daily lives. The program is designed to nurture a love of Torah and emphasize the development of truly independent learning skills.
Community Internships - The Community Internship program is an integral part of the Ashreinu experience. Students select volunteer opportunities that best reflect their interests and talents.
Tiyulim - Students will appreciate the beauty of Eretz Yisrael by hiking, rappelling, climbing and swimming, from Mount Hermon at the northern tip of Israel to the Eilat Mountains in the south. Weekly tiyulim will coincide with the material learned by our students, so that the stories in Tanach and Chazal come alive through visits to the actual locations where history unfolds. Many of our tiyulim will integrate an "extreme" element, challenging our students with a unique combination of learning and adventure.
