Program Description

Shaarei Bina seminary offers students a unique and special learning experience. Our talented & devoted staff, and our beautiful building in its inspiring location, Tsfat, create an environment which is conducive to discovering one's self as well as absorbing the essence of Judaism.
 
Classes are taught by professional and talented teachers in a friendly and open atmosphere. Learning varies between lectures, discussions, textually based classes and creative workshops. Full dormitory facilities are available. Shabbos and Holiday meals are spent with families, encouraging students to become a part of the community while they're here.

Mayanot Institute-Women's Program

Program Description

The Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies Women’s Program offers a warm, nurturing environment in which to learn, as well as an atmosphere where discussion and questioning are encouraged. The program enables you to participate in one-on-one study to maximize your knowledge, and provides you with the tools to study independently. 
 
The Women’s Program offers the Judaic Studies Program, a discussion-based track, which is designed for students with little or no previous knowledge of Hebrew or textual study, who wish to study Torah and different schools of thought within Judaism.  Yeshiva 1 and Yeshiva 2 Programs are offered for students who have a background in Hebrew and wish to develop, or progress in, textual learning skills.
 
In addition to the unparalleled experience of being in Israel, you will meet and learn with fellow students from around the world. The Program is situated in the beautiful neighborhood of Katamon, a central location which is walking distance to the trendy German Colony and close to the city centre.

The Mayanot eight-level Talmud program enables you to participate in one-on-one study, to maximize your knowledge, and provide you with the tools to study independently.
 
In addition to the unparalleled experience of being in Israel, you will be exposed to fellow students from around the world, immersing yourself in Torah study and different schools of thought within Judaism.  NO BACKGROUND IN HEBREW OR TEXTUAL STUDY IS REQUIRED.

Schechter Beit Midrash for Overseas Rabbinical Students

Program Description

The Overseas Beit Midrash at the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary, affiliated with the Conservative/Masorti movement, is a full-time academic program combining Jewish and Israeli experiences based on a pluralistic and egalitarian approach. It is open to rabbinical students from all streams of Judaism, as well as college graduates interested in a high-level Judaic studies program. The Beit Midrash offers guidance for students embarking on a spiritual quest to explore the texts of Bible, Talmud, Halacha and Midrash.
 
You will learn in small classes alongside students from Israel and around the world, creating an atmosphere which is both Israeli and international. The program requires a high Hebrew level since all classes are conducted in Hebrew. You may also take advantage of M.A. courses on a wide variety of topics in Jewish studies at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies. The Schechter Institute is an accredited institution of higher learning and credits may be transferred to other schools.
