Program Description

Israel's longest running gap year, Habonim Dror’s Workshop focuses on collective education and dialogue meant to develop your Jewish leadership. As a participant in Workshop, you will actively contribute to the building of peace and social justice in Israel through community volunteerism. You will live collectively in kvutzot (small groups) and travel the country while learning about the diverse history of Israel, the Israeli people, and the Hebrew language.
 
During the first half of the year, you will focus on learning important life skills; you will spend the second half using them in a variety of volunteer placements with Israeli youth. In addition, Workshop offers you the opportunity to visit important historical sites in Poland, witnessing the Holocaust and learning about the role of youth movements in its history.
 

Israel Way - Career Growth

Program Description

This 5 to 10 month professional internship program enables you--young educated professionals, ages 22-30--to spend a significant period of time in Israel, enriching your work experience and expanding your professional horizons while interning in an Israeli company. In addition to internships, you'll have study courses in Hebrew and English, various workshop and seminars on exciting topics about Israel, cultural events, tours and trips around the country.
 
The program takes place in Israel's center of business, leisure and fun--Tel-Aviv and its surroundings. Having an internship in this city makes your journey to Israel a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Professional staff accompany participants during the program, assisting and helping on every matter. 
 
The program provides you with accommodations for 2-3 people (basic furniture, kitchenette, bathroom) in one of the suburbs of Tel-Aviv, a monthly stipend of $200, free monthly ticket for public transportation, and medical insurance. 
 
The internship can be provided in English.
 

Habonim Dror - British Shnat

Program Description

The Habonim Dror Shnat program is an intensive 10 month education and leadership program in Israel. Shnat is the ultimate Habonim Dror program, giving each participant the chance to live, experience and express the movement's ideology, and then return to their home country educated and inspired. 
 
The British Shnat group joins groups from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Holland, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, and Argentina (just to name a few).
 

Israel Government Fellows

Program Description

The Israel Government Fellows Program (IGF) is a Menachem Begin Heritage Center initiative in affiliation with MASA. The program is endorsed by the Office of the Prime Minister and offers outstanding and highly motivated young Jewish leaders an experience at the heart of the Israeli government. Alongside internships in government offices or policy and diplomacy organizations, the program provides educational seminars, Hebrew language instruction and tours around the country. It is the only existing program of its kind for non-Israelis and is available for young Jews aged 22-30 with at least a first degree. The program’s duration is ten months and is based in Jerusalem. As well as working closely with government officials, prominent thinkers or social activists, participants will attend weekly seminars and travel throughout the country. They will meet with Israeli officials, policy makers, journalists, and a wide range of public figures; as well as exploring their own connection to Israel, Zionism and the Jewish people. The program provides Fellows with invaluable work experience and leadership development.

It is a unique opportunity for aspiring Jewish leaders to develop their talents while contributing to Israeli politics and society, learning about Israeli history and culture, and strengthening their connection with the Jewish state.

Program Description

Mechinat Yeud is a mechina (or preparation) program for post high school young men with an Orthodox background that are looking to both learn and to grow into young Jewish leaders. Modeled after the pre-army mechina programs in Israel, this program is appropriate for serious boys who would like to add to their daily Torah study, a serious volunteer program, strengthen their leadership skills, as well as participate in some challenging physical training in order to be better prepared for the challenges of life. 
 
The atmosphere is quite “Israeli” (we are located on the same campus as the Israeli Hesder Yeshiva “Machaniam”) and gives training in leadership as well as offers a variety of Torah learning.

Program Description

The only Russian-language program that offers two advantages: learning-based institution of higher education and training in an Israeli company. Participants in the program makes it possible to feel and understand the real life of Israel, living in one of the central cities of the country, studying in the Israeli academic establishment, self-management of everyday life, training in the Israeli company, meeting with peers, colleagues and peers from the CIS and from Israel, tours, volunteering, visiting cultural events, support from the organizational structure of the program.
