Before you select your program and apply for a Masa Israel grant or scholarship , it’s important that you learn as much as you can about where you’re going and what to expect – both before you go and after you return.

Do I need to speak Hebrew to participate on a Masa Israel program?">Do I need to speak Hebrew to participate on a Masa Israel program?

No. With very few exceptions, you are not required to speak Hebrew to participate on a Masa Israel program. In fact, Hebrew language study – or Ulpan – is part of the Masa mission and is required for participants of Masa Israel programs. For more information about the amount of hours and level of Hebrew study offered by your program of choice, contact your program organizer directly.
