Noam Shabo in Masa Israel’s Information’s System Administrator. He was a commander in the Kfir unit of the IDF for 3 years, after which he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on IT Software.
He currently lives in Jerusalem with his wife and enjoys live music, travelling, and cooking gourmet food.
Hava Atias is the Director of the Scholarships Department at Masa. A native Jerusalemite, Hava served in the Israeli Defense Forces as an instructor for 2 years and holds a BA in General Studies from the Open University. Before coming to Masa she worked for the United Israel Appeal of Canada (UIAC).
She currently lives in Jerusalem with her husband Rafi and their 3 sons. When she is not working she enjoys DIY and Bon Jovi.
Ben is an experienced community professional with a strong record of driving change with individuals, organizations and communities. He holds a BA in Cultural Studies, an MA in Human Development from the Tavistock Centre in London, and an MA in Social Work. Ben began his career as National Director of Liberal Judaism's youth department before moving to work over the course of five years as a frontline Social Worker in a children at risk team in London. He also has a strong volunteer sector record, including as chair of the committee to establish a first-ever cross-communal Jewish primary school in South London.
Between 2013 and 2015 Ben and his partner Cat spent 15-months on four different continents volunteering, working and travelling. Originally from the UK, Ben and Cat moved to Israel in 2016. They live in Tel Aviv.
Efrat is Masa Israel’s Director of Educational Content and AssessmentA native Israeli who joined Kolot seven years ago, after directing the special projects, fundraising and communication departments for the New Israel Fund - Israel. Led Kolot’s recruitment and student advisory offices, developed new programming and established partnerships with other organizations. Holds an LL.B. in Law from Bar Ilan University, member of the Israeli Bar Association, and a graduate of the Alma College for Hebrew Culture in Tel Aviv.
Avital Elfant-Filler is the Educational Project Manager in Masa, she has joined the Masa staff three years ago after working in "Aharai", a non-profit Israeli organization that dedicates its work to closing social gaps in Israeli society, through meaningful Army & National Service. Born and raised in Israel, Avital studied Business and International Relations at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and got her M.A in Public Policy from the T.A University. She has spent many years working in informal education, in the Supreme Court, in several projects of the Jewish Agency and as the Central Shlicha of the Conservative Movement in the USA.
Avital lives in Jerusalem, married to Yigael, and actor and artist and has one Daughter named Libi.
Avy Leghziel made Aliyah from Rome, Italy, nine years ago and lives now in Jerusalem with his wife Rajel and with their baby boy, Natan Shalom.
He works in Masa as Director of the Jewish Studies Programs and Educational Coordinator.
Avy's been working as an educator, project manager and consultant for World Jewry for the last decade; before joining Masa he worked for World Bnei Akiva, for their year programs and as the director of the Chinuch and Aliyah Department.
Avy has a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Bar Ilan University and he's currently learning his MA in Contemporary Jewry and Social Education at the Schechter Institute.
