| Ethiopian folklore music along with other ethnic sources inspired Idan Raichel in the creation of his “Mima’amakim” show, combining the essence of Israeli culture – diverse Israeli-Arab-Ethnic ingathering of the exiles, all awakening to life. Each of the band members adds to the show in his own unique way with color, soul and cultural background inspiring his style. The project was highly praised and has won many prizes, among them Band of the Year by Galgalatz, Reshet Gimel and the regional radio stations, two ACUM prizes, Album of the Year and Song of the Year (“Mima’amakim”) and won the Landau Prize for the Performance Arts for its musical creation. |
