Presentense Magazine Seeks Young Jewish Writers, Photographers, and Artists!

Presentense Magazine is seeking articles on the role religion plays in the lives of young Jews in the here & now.  In our upcoming issue, we hope to showcase the diversity of religious approaches of our generation, highlighting new trends in how religion informs and intersects with the lives of young Jews in innovative ways, as well as the ways in which our generation maintains a connection and works within the framework of Jewish tradition.

  • What value does religion add to the lives of young Jews?
  • What decisions do young Jews make about religion, and about why (and how) to be Jewish?
  • How do young Jews relate to religions other than Judaism?
  • How do those of other religions view us?

Presentense is especially looking for articles that present the perspective of young people living in Israel -- new minyanim, Jewish creativity, attitudes of young Israelis toward religion/Judaism/liberal streams, the role of religion in Israeli society, etc.

Send your pitch along with a couple paragraphs describing what they would like to write about, why it is relevant to young Jews today, what new and exciting angle they can add to the discussion on that particular topic.

Presentense Magazine is also looking for Israel based journalists, writers, poets, photographers and artists for upcoming articles, poetry/ fiction, photo essays, and book reviews.  Therefore, feel free to propose additional questions or areas of interest.

All entries and inquiries should be sent to:
