How did you find out  about MASA?

Mom.  "I was looking to spend a year in Israel on a learning program and my mom kept dropping the name "MASA".  I checked it out and found Pardes."

 In his own words

"Reiki is a very powerful tool for tikkun olam* and Pardes is a place where I am discovering where I fit in the Jewish world.  I find myself in a very diverse community of young Jewish people exploring text in a unique way, learning together what it means to be Jewish. If you're trying to discover Judaism,  Jerusalem is a good place to start."

*Tikkun Olam: lit. "Repairing the world" -- that is, making the world a better place to live.
Over the course of years, tikkun olam has come to mean the pursuit of social justice,  peace and the restoration of the environment.  It is a call  to repair the world through social action and acts of kindness, no matter how small.
