The Diaspora Museum, named after Nachum Goldmann, aims to tell the story of the Jewish people ever since the exile from Israel, 2,500 years ago, and until today. The unique story of Jewish continuity is displayed by a permanent exhibition and educational cultural activities. The museum marks various paths of creating a personal-historical identity" (from the museum's website).
After Dr. Ravid's lecture about Jewish identity, including an active exercise at Tel Aviv University, the participants will divide into three groups and join a tour of the museum and three different workshops: "Jewish Communities and Identity Through Community Theatre", "Jewish Identity and Peoplehood in the Cinema", and "My Jewish Community", in which we will look into the components of the participants' communities, which together combine into the Jewish world community and create Jewish peoplehood. At the end of the daym the participants will receive a gift and an information booklet.
