October 22 2007, The Yitzhak Rabin Center – Tel Aviv
The assassination of Yitzhak Rabin was a turning point in the history of Israeli society, which led to the creation of many kinds of discourse dealing with Israeli democracy, freedom of speech, equality, etc. The Yitzhak Rabin Center for Israel Research is dedicated to the commemoration of Rabin's activity and heritage and exploring the lessons that Israeli society has to learn from the assassination. The uniqueness of the Center is in its combined roles as an educational museum, conducting documentation and academic research, and practical activities for Israeli society and the state. The Center serves as a vital site intended affect the public discourse in Israel, and to set Yitzhak Rabin's place in the national memory and attract young Jews from Israel and the world.
