The Story of the Israeli-Arab Conflict - Past, Present and Future

Ever since it was established, the State of Israel has been dealing with military and security challenges. During the "Israeli security issues" Shabbaton we will examine the causes that led to the conflict from historical, political, and personal perspectives; We will meet with senior IDF officers, academics, Knesset members and soldiers. We will learn about the image of Israel in world media and conclude with discussing the personal viewpoints of participants and providing them with the tools for representing Israel in public.
Goals: - Intensive, fascinating study of the Israeli-Arab conflict from various perspectives. -Guided exposure to central issues in Israeli security: a tour along the Security Fence. -Introduction and encounter with Israeli decision makers by open discussion. -Investigation of one's personal viewpoints concerning the security situation. -Providing tools for Hasbara, representation and promotion of Israel. -Interpersonal, informal encounter with pilots and combat soldiers |
