  Year Course - Arts Program  

Unleash your inner artist with the Performance & Visual Arts tracks. Study drama, voice, movement, painting, sketching or drawing through classes, workshops, volunteer opportunities, field trips, and more. Throughout the year, participants will create original dramatic, vocal, and artistic pieces, and present them to public audiences. Participants are fully integrated in Year Course, the 9-month program of formal and informal education for recent high school graduates who spend a dynamic year living, volunteering and studying in Israel. Placements can include: Jerusalem, community volunteering experiences near Tel Aviv, variety of arts-related work, army, navy, youth aliya village, safari, kibbutz and more. Participants can earn up to a year's worth of college credit through the American Jewish University in Los Angeles, CA, while building leadership skills and developing and strengthening their relationship with the country’s land and people.



Core contents of the program:
Drama, voice, movement, painting, sketching, or drawing through classes, workshops, volunteer opportunities, field trips, immersion into Israeli society and more. Hebrew Ulpan, volunteer opportunities, academic studies.

What is included?
Instruction by professional artists, opportunities to create artistic pieces such as dramatic performances, voice, paintings, drawings and more; Room and board, academic component fully accredited through the American Jewish University in Los Angeles, CA (earn up to a year's worth of college credit), round-trip international airfare, tiyulim, volunteer opportunities, travel, medical insurance, predeparture orientation program.

Extras:
