The WUJS Jerusalem Learning program brings together young Jewish university graduates and professionals from around the world to engage in a deep and engaging Jewish studies experience.

The Jerusalem Ulpan (Hebrew language) program coupled with extensive courses in Judaism and Zionism are all conducted in a pluralist, open minded environment. Our holistic educational approach incorporates time in the classroom, weekly field trips, overnight hikes, meetings with Israeli peers, volunteer options and a variety of fun and enriching activities. Participants live and study in a warm yet dynamic environment and are supported by professional and experienced staff.

Core contents of the program:

Up to eight levels of Hebrew Ulpan; courses on Zionism, Jewish Texts, Jewish Thought and Culture, Contemporary Israeli Society, and more.
Opportunity for intense Jewish experience and experimentation within the holy city of Jerusalem for those who wish to take that personal journey.
Tzedaka (Charity) by volunteering within the local community on a weekly basis.

What is included?

All courses including field trips and educational activities.
Participants will live in apartments close to the centre of Jerusalem. Apartments include all equipment needed to live comfortably.
Participants will receive a monthly bus pass allowing you to travel the short journey to classes as well as get around during your free time at no extra cost.
Participants will receive one hot meal a day at lunchtime from Sunday to Thursday.
Overnight hikes in the north and south of Israel.

Extras:

Aliyah consultation and guidance for those who see their long-term future in Israel.
Assistance with professional internships and job placements for those planning on staying in Israel after the program.
Hiking and Free time consultant as well as camping equipment at no extra cost.
