Nachshon is a 10 month program originally designed for Israelis wanting to take a year "on" before their army service in the Israeli Defense Forces.  Now, the Nachshon is also open to Jewish young adults from all over the world seeking to experience Israel and its people in the most personal and meaningful way. This unique setting offers participants in-depth courses in Hebrew, leadership development, Israeli society, the IDF and much more. Additionally, we believe strongly in learning in and out of a classroom so much of the time is spent exploring the country’s landscape through tours and experiential education; The participants take responsibility for the success of Nachshon by building the program with the help of supportive staff. Most importantly, this program offers participants a chance to live with Israelis as they both prepare for their future paths together.
