The newly established International Conservation Center in Akko's Old City, invites people from all over the world to study conservation at a World Heritage Site.

Participants will have a unique opportunity of taking part in a practical training program in the field of Historical and Archeological conservation. The program will take place 'on site' with leading conservation specialists from the Israel Antiquities Authorities and other leading conservation organizations in Israel. The program offers an extraordinary opportunity to study the rich past of Land of Israel by visiting archeological sites, and participating in the conservation of cultural and archeological heritage.



Core contents of the program:
• Hands on experience in documentation of historical sites
• Hands on experience in traditional building techniques such as masonry work, stone-cutting, carpentry and plaster.
• Heritage classes
• Cultural and social events
• Guided tours 
 
                                
What is included?
Social program with the diverse communities in Akko; archeological excavation; Holocaust studies; tours once a week; Hebrew Ulpan; workshop with young actors from the Jewish – Arab theater of Akko; kibbutz experience

Extras:
