Nativ is a challenging nine-month program dedicated to creating and inspiring the Conservative Jewish leaders of tomorrow. From September to May, Nativ participants engage in the rich and diverse society of Israel, exploring the land and participating in passionate Conservative Jewish living, college level academic studies, Yeshiva learning or intensive Ulpan studies, and innovative leadership training. During the first Semester, Nativers have the opportunity to earn college credits by taking courses at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, to study “Torah Lishma” at the Conservative Yeshiva or to study in an intensive Ulpan program. During the second half of the year, Nativers may choose between the Kibbutz option, a semester of Kibbutz living, or the Kehilla option, a semester of community service. Throughout the year, Nativ participants also have the opportunity to experience several hikes and seminars that help them to become an integral part of Israeli society.
"I am getting more out of my year in Israel than I could possibly have imagined. Each day is like a new adventure, and these adventures are giving me the strong base I need to jump into the next stage of my life with courage and faith."
