International Student’s Program

A new concept in one-year programs for women - MACHON TAL English Speakers Program offers you a combination of Torah learning and academic studies in an all-women’s, religious environment in Israel. Students who have the background in Hebrew will be allowed to take courses with Israelis and are entitled to tutors in these courses.

Core contents of the program:
Students will study Jewish Studies (Bible, Jewish Law, Jewish Philosophy) in the morning and academic courses (to include Psychology, Business Ethics, Environmental Science, Marketing, Management, Math, Economics and Computer Science) in the afternoons. An intense Ulpan is required of all participants.

What does it include?
Tuition includes tiyulim and extra-curricular activities with Israelis, security fee and printed materials for courses. Dorm apartments are available which include kitchenettes and washing machines. There is a cafeteria in the school where students can purchase fresh hot lunches; and there are many eateries and markets in the neighborhood, as well as other shopping and recreational facilities.

Extras:
Credits are listed on an accredited Israeli transcript and can be applied to a degree at Machon Tal or transferred to universities in Israel and North America.

MACHON TAL English Speakers Program is a member of the YU Joint Israel Program. Students at Machon Tal (about 10%) are from foreign countries. About 30% of the student body speak English. Students can join the Israeli Student Union (Agudat HaStudentim) and become involved in planning school events.
