Fighting for Freedom and Recongnition SIACH participant Lucy Newman is currently in the middle of her internship at Mavoi Satum, a political organization, fighting for the rights of women denied a Get (divorce) by their husbands.  Because all marriages in Israel are conducted under the Rabbinate Court, a divorce is not final until the Get has been awarded.  Without a Get, a woman cannot remarry. 
Young Judea goes to Uganda This year Young Judea has introduced Olami, a new extension to the Young Judaea Year Course program that brings participants face-to-face with the people, politics, history, and culture of the countries that played a pivotal role in the development of the modern state of Israel. Not for Sale Career Israel participant Liliya Dudnik is interning at the Task Force on Human Trafficking, an organization dedicated to eliminating human trafficking in Israel.  It is estimated that between 600,000 and 800,000 women and children are trafficked across international boarders every year.  Read about Liliya's experience, the reality of the sex-trade here in Israel, and see how you can help end modern slavery.
