The theme of the contest is: My Israel  
If you have been to Israel on a MASA long-term Israel program, you are eligible to enter the MASA  My Israel  Photo and Essay Contest.

Choose a photo you took that you think best exemplifies the theme My Israel OR Write an essay or submit a journal entry     that explains how your experience in Israel has     impacted your life in a significant way.

Please submit your entry by October 1, 2007 to  masacontest@gmail.com.

  Winners will be announced on October 5, 2007.   

All entries must include the following information:        Name:     Address:     University (if applicable):     Email:     MASA Program:     Photo Caption, approx. date photo was taken:     Essay Title:

Contest Rules:

1. For this contest you can submit a maximum of one photo and one essay per person.

2. This is a PHOTOGRAPHY contest not a graphic design contest.  The only manipulations of photos allowed are cropping, conversion to black & white or sepia.

3. No obscene or degrading photos.

4. No sensitive military locations.

5. Photos must be the sole legal property of the contestant.

6. Photos entered must not have been previously published.

7. Essay is a maximum of 2500 words.

NOTE: Photos thought to be outside the above criteria may be removed from consideration without the entrant being notified.

The winners’ photos and essays will be published on the website www.masaisrael.org and all submissions may be printed or used by MASA Israel Journey in publications and published on the MASA website and other websites.
